From start to finish, Zbolt was awesome and we couldn’t be happier with how our deck turned out. We had an existing small and awkward elevated deck that we re-decked in addition to expanding the footprint for a completely new section. When it came time to review deck companies, we met with several different contractors, and ZBolt stood out immediately. Zach was by far the most prepared. Zack and the team were so great! My mum was having the deck fixed at her house and the Trex was faulty and crumbling in places (and they refused to replace it) and we had about 10 different contractors over to provide quotes. Zack’s team were chosen both in competitive bid, but also professionalism and people that had worked with them and a confirmed they were the best (on a FB group I belong to). Upon starting work, they realized the old deck was worse than we thought and it was rotting underneath! The whole deck got ripped out and the new one installed. We had a bit of an unusual project, a custom play house elevated on a deck, since our kids are outgrowing most of the prefab play sets. We wanted a space teenagers could feel comfortable hanging out in. Zbolt went above and beyond on our project. I was thinking it would be a plywood box but no, they specced out a full high-quality mini house complete with shingles, window headers, studs, etc. They even sanded handhold areas and made windowsills look nice and cover splinters with decking material. We had a couple last minute changes that they accommodated gracefully and at a reasonable price. I’m glad we followed their recommendations. It turned out WAY better than I expected! And it took only a few days. The kids are super excited to start customizing it and they’re already out there using it. We highly recommend Zbolt and would happily use them again.

We had to replace a redwood deck and pergola that we had built over 40 years ago. One of the deck showrooms gave us a ZBolt card and we called for a quote. The ZBolt bid was competitive with others but we felt more comfortable working with Zach. The work got done on schedule and we are very pleased with the results. They were able to accomodate some unusual features and suggested some better ways of doing a few things, with no unexpected additional costs. After many attempted bids on our new deck, Zach easily sold us not only on upgrading to Trex Composite, instead of the wood we had initially planned, but he did that while being highly competitive on pricing and having an outstanding work ethic! We’ve already asked him to give us bids on upgrading the safety of our small treehouse with Trex in mind as well as building an long awning to shield this beautiful deck from the elements so we can sit on it 24/7! Another amazing upgrade by Zachary Martin and Z-Bolt Construction, LLC!! We desperately needed an upgrade to the treehouse for safety and didn’t have a way of doing it ourselves. We asked Zach and his team to help, and they knocked it out if the park again! Went with a simple rebuild with the existing support structure in mind and a ship ladder, so I could feel more confident with my 4 year old following her brother up the stairs. We have some accessories coming to add to the treehouse, but I’m so extremely happy with how quickly Zbolt could add this job on and they completed it in one day! Thank you Zach!!

I could not be happier with the experience I had using Zbolt to construct my second story deck. Zachary spent the time with me to go over multiple options for the deck covering material, railing options, upgrades and timelines. After speaking with a few deck builders both large and small, it was pretty clear Zbolt was the option I was most interested in. I had reviewed some videos of Zachary on-site at other project similar in scale performing the work through his social media presence and could tell he takes pride in his work (and it's him on-site during the build, not just subbing out the work to contractors I did not contract with). I pulled the trigger on basically every upgrade Zachary gave the option for and I am glad I did. We were sold on the mineral composite decking material through Deckorators to help offset the heat from the sun. The rep from Deckorators also came out to the project to see if we had any concerns, feedback etc.. We couldn't be happier with the product. Wrapping the support posts and beams with the decking material is a gamechanger and worth every penny the upgrade costs. I have had multiple neighbors comment on how great the finish looks compared to leaving the PTL as is. I put in a photo of the project before wrapping the posts and beams so you can see the difference it makes. I cannot overstate how worth it this is. We also opted for the metal roofing (soffit) gutter system under the deck to make a much more functional space under our deck. It has already rained and we can tell the difference it makes and it looks great compared to seeing the bare joists from the bottom. We also went with the drink railing which I thought was maybe just a gimmick, but it really gives the deck an added visual appeal compared to standard railing while also being functional. Zachary was on-site and communicated with me every day during the install to ensure we were happy with the process, had a say in any small visual details (flashing colors, paint colors) during the build, and to let us know what we could expect the next day during the build. I have given his contact info to multiple friends and family and I hope they make the same decision I did and go with his company for their projects. We found Z Bolt working on a deck in a nearby neighborhood and requested an estimate for our pergola. While the estimate was competitive, we went with a contractor referred by a friend. Big mistake! When the work from that contractor fell apart, we contacted Z Bolt, and they quickly came to the rescue! We are very happy with the pergola and the work Z Bolt did for us.
